Dental Check up
Regular dental check-ups, also known as dental exams, are crucial for maintaining good oral health. During a dental exam, a dentist or dental hygienist will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, and mouth to identify any issues or concerns. This may involve taking x-rays to detect any hidden dental problems. The dentist will also check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and other oral health issues. By having regular dental check-ups, you can catch any dental problems early on and prevent them from becoming more serious and expensive to treat.
Professional teeth cleaning
Professional teeth cleaning, also known as scale and clean, involves removing plaque, calculus/tartar, and stains from your teeth. Plaque is a sticky film of bacteria that forms on your teeth and can cause tooth decay and gum disease if left untreated. Calculus/tartar is hardened plaque that forms on your teeth over time and can only be removed by a dental professional. During teeth cleaning, a dental hygienist will use special tools to remove these deposits and leave your teeth looking and feeling clean. It is recommended to have professional teeth cleaning every six months to maintain good oral health.
